Introduction
Assisted Setup enables you to easily perform data migration and quickly complete setup tasks related to Assets, Work Orders, Users, and much more.
All articles related to data migration and assisted data setup are intended for administrators who set up and maintain Work Order data and Asset data in EAM-BC.

Use the Asset Data Migration Wizard to easily migrate Asset data from your previous ERP system to EAM-BC. The Asset data wizard allows you to migrate:
Asset data:
- Asset No.
- Description
- Status
- Condition
- Category
- Criticality
- Asset Parent No.
- Location data: Location, Latitude, Longitude, Level
- Product and tracking dimensions: Model, Serial number, Manufacturer
- Notes
- Virtual Asset

- On your role center, open the Asset Data Migration Wizard by selecting the Settings button at the top of the screen > Assisted Setup, or search for and select Assisted Setup.
- In the Assisted Setup list > Migrate data to Dynaway EAM section, select Migrate assets and go through the wizard.
- Download the Excel templates and add your Asset data.
- Upload the file and migrate the data.

Migrate Asset Data

Use the Counters and Measurements Data Migration wizard to easily migrate Counter and Measurement data from your previous ERP system to EAM-BC. The migration data wizard allows you to migrate:
Counter data:
- Counter No.
- Name
- Category
- Max. Counter Reading
Counter Journal line data:
- Journal Template Name
- Journal Batch Name
- Line No.
- Reading Date
- Counter No.
- Reading Value
Measurement data:
- No.
- Name

If you migrate Items and Resources to existing Work Order Plans, those Work Order Plans must have status 'Open' in EAM-BC.
- Open the Work Order Plans Migration Data Wizard by selecting the Settings button at the top of the screen > Assisted Setup.
- In the Assisted Setup list > Migrate data to Dynaway EAM section, select Migrate work order plans and go through the wizard.
- Download the Excel template and add your Work Order Plans data.
- Upload the file and migrate the data.

The Asset Warranties wizard helps you to quickly set up data related to Asset Warranty. When you go through the wizard, we'll provide predefined Warranty setup data. You can also set up your own data as you require.

- Open Asset Warranties Setup by selecting the Settings button at the top of the screen > Assisted Setup, or search for and select Assisted Setup.
- In the Assisted Setup list > Get started with Dynaway EAM section, select Set up asset warranties.

- Set up preferred number series for Warranty and Claim.
- Next, you set up the following data. We provide sample data for all the forms, and you can also create your own data as you go through the wizard.

You have two storage options regarding asset and work order documents:
- Embedded: Select this option if you use small files. Files are saved in D365BC.
- Azure Blob Storage: Select this option if you use large files. This option requires a blob storage account in Microsoft® Azure®. Additional costs are related to setting up a blob storage account.

- Open the asset data wizard by selecting the Settings button at the top of the screen > Assisted Setup.
- In the Assisted Setup list > Advanced setup in Dynaway EAM section, select Set up documents upload.
- Select the Default Storage Provider.
- If you use Azure Blob Storage, provide storage account information in the Azure Storage section.
- Select Close to save the setup.

The Forms wizard helps you to set up data related to Dynaway Forms, which are used in Work Order Checklists.

- Open Forms Setup by selecting the Settings button at the top of the screen > Assisted Setup, or search for and select Assisted Setup.
- In the Assisted Setup list > Get started with Dynaway Forms section, select Set up forms.
- Set up your preferred number series.
- Next, set up the Form Template Categories you want to use. For other setup wizards we provide sample data, but not in this case because Dynaway Forms uses standard D365BC functionality.
- Select Finish on the last setup screen to complete the Forms setup.

You can assign a user or a user group to an Asset. This means that those employees are assigned to work on the Work Orders that are created for the Asset.
This step is mandatory in EAM setup. User setup is required before you can create Assets.

The procdure below describes how to set up Users and User Groups.
- Open the asset data wizard by selecting the Settings button at the top of the screen > Assisted Setup.
- In the Assisted Setup list > Get started with Dynaway EAM section, select Set up maintenance employees/groups.
- You see a list of predefined employees and groups. Edit the list as you require.
- You set up new users in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. A message is shown on the screen if you try to create a new user in the Users form that opens.
- If you add a new group, select Group Members to add users to the group.
- You can also add Work Types to a group, if required.
- If you set up users, add the Resource No. that that is related to the user.
- Select Close to save the setup.

You can select which events (created, changed, deleted) to show in the Maintenance Log regarding different entity types, for example, Assets, Work Orders, and Work Order Plans.

- Open the asset data wizard by selecting the Settings button at the top of the screen > Assisted Setup.
- In the Assisted Setup list > Advanced setup in Dynaway EAM section, select Set up maintenance audit trail.
- The Asset entities are enabled by default. You enable/disable an entity type by selecting the Enabled check box for that entity type.
- Select Close to save the setup.

The wizard helps you to quickly set up data related to Work Orders. When you go through the wizard, we provide predefined Work Order data. You can also set up your own data as you require.

Set Up Work Order Data
- Open the wizard by selecting the Settings button at the top of the screen > Assisted Setup.
- In the Assisted Setup list > Get started with Dynaway EAM section, select Set up work orders.
- Select an industry, if relevant.
- Set up Work order number series for:
- Work Orders
- Work Order Plans
- Posted Work Orders
- Checklists
Set Up Work Order Plan Parameters
In the Work Order wizard, you set up data related to Work Order planning.
- In the How many days ahead should work orders be planned field, insert number of days before due date on a Work Order. This is the planning horizon, which means that when running a Work Order Planning, Work Orders will be created for the period inserted here, for example, the next 14 days. There is one active Work Order per Work Order Plan.
- In the How many days in the past should work orders be shown in reports field, insert number of days that an employee is able to see posted Work Orders in the past. Example: If you insert "20" in this field, you may be able to see posted Work Orders for the last 20 days in the Posted Work Orders list, depending on your role setup in EAM-BC.
- Activate the Do you want to plan additional expenses for work orders toggle button if you want to be able to add expenses to a Work Order Plan.
- Activate the Do you want to create work order when plan is released toggle button if a work order should be automatically created when you release a Work Order Plan.
Set Up Work Order Priorities
In the Work Order wizard, open the Work Order Priorities form and create the priorities you want to use for Work Orders, for example, 'Medium', 'High', and 'Critical'.

Set Up Work Order Categories
In the Work Order wizard, open the Work Order Categories form and create the categories you want to use for Work Orders. Categories define different types of Work Orders.

Set Up Work Order Waiting Reasons
In the Work Order wizard, open the Work Order Waiting Reasons form and create the reasons you want to use to describe Work Orders that are delayed.

Set Up Counter Categories
In the Work Order wizard, open the Counter Categories form and create categories, if you use Counters on your Assets.
