Introduction
When the Mobile Client is online, you can download asset data, allowing you to see asset details and create asset-related registrations when the Mobile Client is offline.
When the Mobile Client is online, you can view asset-related information on all the assets, which are related to the work orders assigned to you. Offline functionality allows you to work with assets when the Mobile Client is offline. This is useful if you work in remote areas with limited or no internet
coverage. If you're allowed to work with offline assets, you have access to the Offline assets menu item on the Mobile Client.

There are limitations to working with assets offline. You're able to perform the following tasks on an offline asset:
- Create requests
- Create production stop registrations
- Create work orders
- Create hour and expense registrations on a work order created offline
- Create item registrations on a work order created offline.
Note
Working with item registrations on offline work orders is only possible if you've also downloaded items for offline inventory. Refer to Offline inventory.
The following data are not available on offline assets:
- Counters
- Items
- Attributes
- Event history
- Asset documents
- Asset attachments
Note
When you're offline, you can take a photo with your mobile device and attach it to an asset.
There are limitations to working on the work orders created offline. The following parts are not available on a work order created offline:
- Checklists
- Attachments on the work order or work order job
- Forecasts regarding spare parts, BOM, or other items
