In Asset management, you can create work order pools to compile work orders created for a specific purpose, for example, a Shutdown, Turnaround & Outage (STO) project. Before you create the work order pool and the work orders to be included in the pool, the following setup tasks must be done.
- In D365FO > Project management and accounting, create the project you want to use as an STO project.
- Refer to Microsoft documentation to learn how to create and maintain projects in D365FO: Project managment and accounting overview.
- In D365FO > Asset management, set up a work order type to be used for the work orders in your project.
- Refer to Microsoft documentation regarding work order type setup.
- On the work order type you create for a work order pool project, activate the Work order pool required toggle button.
